12 years. It also incorporates 4 brand new tracks recorded in 1994 as well as
being a veritable smorgasbord of some of their greatest hits.
The Sheffield Lab Drum & Track Disc XRCD24 Model/Varenr.: 99123
Dynamics and sheer energy at their best! The drums solos are a severe
test for any HiFi system if played - as they should always be -
extremely loud (a live drum kit sounds very loud...). A realistic 3D
image is included too. Musically, you have to love this Toto-style kind
of Music.
John Lennon - Imagine Ultradisc II 24 KT Gold CD Model/Varenr.: 99115
MFSL returns with one of rock and roll’s most important visionaries and
a rock classic no collection should be without: John Lennon - Imagine.
No one needs to be reminded of the historical significance of this
masterpiece from one of music's most influential artists.
Jennifer Warnes - The Hunter Gold CD Model/Varenr.: 99231
The Hunter was released 5 years after her breakthrough with 'Famous Blue Raincoat'. It is a varied affair with several songs given by Todd Rundgren, Donald Fagen and mentor Leonard Cohen (who puts in another guest appearance) as well as self penned material. It's the voice that matters, and hers is crystalline.
Best Audiophile Voices Vol. 1 XRCD2 Model/Varenr.: 99200
One of the best sounding XRCDs featuring Female Vocals! Includes Alison Krauss, Jheena Lodwick, Eva Cassidy, Carol Kidd, Jane Monheit and more! This Hong Kong imported xrcd2 from the Premium label contains more than a dozen wonderful tracks from female vocalists famous for their music. The recording was very well done and the selections emphasize ballads to bring out the best in the artists.
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms XRCD2 Model/Varenr.: 99110
"Brothers In Arms" was pretty much the success story of the 80's and was primarily fuelled by a slate of huge hit singles like the classic "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life" and "So Far Away". Obviously the production and Mark Knopfler's superlative guitar playing are exemplary as usual. Here's your chance to experience it all over again in glorious xrcd2 sound!
Deep Purple - Who Do We Think We Are Model/Varenr.: 99235
The third and final album by the historic Mark II lineup of Deep Purple spotlights the unmatchable team of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord, Roger Glover and Ian Paice on bass and drums and lead singer Ian Gillan.
TERRY EVANS - COME TO THE RIVER XRCD24 Model/Varenr.: 99280
When Terry Evans sings, people listen... and believe. For years, Evans voice has fueled albums by the likes of John Fogerty, John Lee Hooker and Ry Cooder. Terry's first album for AudioQuest Music, Puttin' It Down, was called "one for the ages" by Stereophile magazine. Come To The River, featuring some very special guests, is quite simply, Terry's best album to date
Ella Fitzgerald & Joe Pass: Take Love Easy XRCD Model/Varenr.: 99198
Although the other recordings from this duo are also great, this title is my most favorite one. Every song stands out for their unique jazz interpretation of these classic tunes. Vocal/jazz duos are very difficult to pull off, but you'd never know it by listening to these recordings. Joe Pass's guitar work here is some of his best in a duo setting. Ella's melodic improvisations on these tunes is incredible. Definately one of the greatest jazz duos of all time.
Gary Karr - Super Double Bass XRCD24 Model/Varenr.: 99114
Bassist Legend Gary Karr performs popular standards on a milestone in
fine audio sound, XRCD24! Gary Karr is a very unique double-bass
virtuoso, beloved by many who like the mellowness and deep tone of the
double bass. Gary's interpretation of the Master's works is touching
and profoundly musical.
Kenny Burrell & John Coltrane XRCD Model/Varenr.: 99197
Kenny Burrell's guitar-playing sounds a lot like Wes Montgomery, who didn't make a splash in the jazz world until two years after this recording date. That means this disc would be worth buying for his leading work alone. But when you add in support three of the seven artists who created the classic "Kind of Blue" record just a year or so later, you of course have a first-rank album on your hands.
MIGHTY SAM MCCLAIN - GIVE IT UP TO LOVE XRCD Model/Varenr.: 99278
Rhythm & Blues legend Mighty Sam McClain's first release for AQM received every possible accolade including Pulse! Magazine's Blues Album of the Year for 1993. "Do not miss this! I wore out my copy playing it over and over." - Michael Fremer, Stereophlie Magazine.
One of the most acclaimed and influential albums of all time. Recorded in 1965-66 and released in May of 1966, “Pet Sounds” is forever battling with the Beatles’ “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band” for the best album ever recorded. George Martin, the Beatles’ producer, stated that “Without Pet Sounds, Sergeant Pepper wouldn’t have ever happened.”
