ViaBlue™ SC-4 Silver-Series speaker cables have silver-plated strands for the treble range and tin-plated strands for powerful playback of the bass range. The cables are factory-installed ready-made with ViaBlue™ T6s banana plugs, that have 24 carat genuine-gilded bronze contacts.
SC-4 speaker cables have a transparent and three-dimensional sound and a brilliant, airy quality in the high range. Clean lows and basses homogeneously round out the acoustic pattern. Technically, all the frequency ranges are cleanly and realistically represented and reproduced in a linear fashion.
Seperate signal lines for high and low pass.
The advantage of a bi-wire speaker cable compared to a single-wire speaker cable (e.g. twin speaker cable) is to reduce distortions. When speakers are connected to an amplifier with traditional wiring, distortions are created. This can be caused by vibrations of the woofer thereby creating voltage in the cable. These distortions are not sufficiently eliminated by the amplifier. Some of these distortions are modified on the tweeter, mid-range speaker and woofer. Bi-wiring reduces such distortions. They occur only at the amplifier. There they can be efficiently eliminated by the amplifier control loop.
A control loop serves to hold a certain magnitude constant (negative feedback control, scanning by sensing devices, comparison of the values with the reference value, sending a correction signal when there are deviations, whereupon the deviating state is reset to the initial value).
Silver plating for more brilliance.
The four 4 mm2 leads of the SC-4 more speaker cable consist of ever 7 stranded bundles with altogether 896 individual braids. In order to specialize the sound range for the individual frequency ranges, two of the four veins are silvered and two veins tinned. Through the combination of silver-plated and tin-plated leads, the finest details and brilliance of the treble range as well as the lower frequency signals of the bass range are fully carried and powerfully reproduced through the attached speakers.
The two silvered leads are connected with the high tone range of the loudspeakers. By the silver plating finest details will be transfered in the high tone range. The two tinned copper leads are connected with the low range of the loudspeakers. The low-frequency signals are completely transported in base range and shown by the tinning of the copper braids over the attached loudspeakers pressureful.
The SC-4 speaker cables are braided with the ViaBlue™ Cobra protective sleeve, which also affords at first glance a visual impression of the dynamic quality of the high-end speaker cables. Thse splitters typically used with ViaBlue™ cables protect the cable ends from snapping off and, at the same time, provide a professional, well thought out cable routing of the single leads.
The 6th sense - T6s connectors on the SC-4 Silver-Series.
SC-4 Silver Series speaker cables are supplied ready-made with ViaBlue™ T6s banana plugs. ViaBlue™ T6s banana plug have contact pins from bronze that is 24 carat gold plated. The plug's shells are made from aluminum. The contacts can be exchanged by the optionally available spades and flexible pins easily.
Burned in well.
The basic burn-in time of the SC-4 speaker cables is approx. 22-24 hours. The total burn-in time is approx. 42-44 hours. (Exact times depend on temperature and location)
