In 2006, the appearance of EE/F-S 2.6 established a brand-new category of “in-wall cable” specifically for audio application. Responding many customers’ feedback that EE/F-S 2.6 is so stiff that it’s hard to distribute it freely even though it has excellent sound quality, we have achieved a superior cost/performance ratio and improved flexibility by downsizing the conductor diameter from 2.6mm to 2.0mm. The appearance of EE/F-S 2.0 makes the use of in wall wiring for audio more accessible to enthusiasts.
 
EE/F-S 2.0 is consist of PCOCC-A conductors which have a 600V20A capacity, halogen-free sheathing developed specifically for audio applications, copper foil shielding and its drain wire for easy wire connection. It has demonstrated 30dB superiority in noise protection over standard indoor cable.
 
The development of EE/F-S series is not just a modification of indoor cable but an invention of “in-wall audio cable”. It satisfies the requirements of high performance and safety by adequately integrating multiple elements. Its unlimited potential and excellent performance represent a genuine Oyaide product.


PCOCC-A
 
PCOCC copper is a material that includes very few impurities and insures very low levels of signal disturbance. Because of its low incidence of grain boundaries, the signal passes without impediment or distortion. Heating and cooling the PCOCC wire under controlled circumstances yields a densely re-crystallized, highly pure structure called a μ conductor. The resulting product with a mirror finish applied is called PCOCC-A copper. This highly advanced product is made possible by the combined application of high technology and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
 

Outer Sheath
 
In addition to PCOCC-A conductor, halogen-free sheathing developed specifically for audio applications is applied for EE/F-S 2.0 with assistance of Furukawa Electric. This RoHS compliant halogen-free sheath has excellent vibration damping property and high transmitting capability by ideal compounding ratio of materials.
 

Structure/Diameter
 
The development of PCOCC-A copper paved the way for our EE/F-S series solid core, in wall cable to emerge. EE/F-S 2.0 consists of 2.0mm PCOCC-A conductors which have a 600V20A capacity. By downsizing the conductor diameter from 2.6mm to 2.0mm, we have achieved a superior cost/performance ratio and have improved flexibility of cable.
 

Shield
 
EE/F-S 2.0 was designed on the assumption that it could be used under several circumstances such as in a home, a broadcast station, or a professional studio. Because of its copper foil shielding, it provides clean power without being affected by noise. The copper foil shielding has demonstrated 30dB superiority in noise protection over standard in wall wiring.
